PROPOSALS
People Safety: Justin.
What to do about weapons or pepper spray. Weapons are not allowed in the park. Don’t ask, don’t tell, no show for fire arms. Our first response: call the police to see if they have a permit, rather than approaching people who have weapons. If someone familiar has a weapon notify people safety. Do the same if someone handling knife in unsafe ways. Pepper spray is legal but don’t show it to anybody. The tent of the PS is in front with the info/coordination tent or go to Justin’s tent or look for individuals wearing yellow reflective armband.
Education Working Group: Marc.
General discussion starting with a go-around “Why are we here?” First one Sunday November 6, 2 pm.
Appeal for an education on safety.
OTHER BUSINESS
Ira Kelly: documentary “The throw aways” showing videos of the occupations throughout US starting 5-6 pm tonight.
Ruben: informal meditation around the fountain at 10:30 am to learn mindfulness techniques.
SPEAK OUT
Justin: having a week-end getaway for the Adirondacks for increasing team building. Arrange for next week to go to Camp Dippykill. Colin will organize some of it.
