Hi everyone- I'm just writing because there's a real lack of involvement in the DA working group. If anyone wants to help plan actions, PLEASE respond here. We need regular meeting times- were doing Saturdays at 12:30, but only 1 person showed up yesterday so that's obviously not working for everyone. How about Tuesday at 7pm? Open to suggestions.

Wednesday's work for me. I did miss the last meeting but do plan to stay involved as much as possible. This way of communicating is slower than email so I may be a bit behind. I will try and keep up. Please let me know what we decide on. Thanks.

I was involved in the very beginning. I have had to take some time away from the park to get some school things done. I had stopped going to the DA WG meetings because I really didnt feel anything that we were doing was even direct action. What are some of your ideas Rana?

I announced this call for participation during the RC meeting last night. I hope that some people from the caucus will get involved.
I'm in the same position as BW: school, teaching, 1 year old daughter and partner, etc. making finding time very difficult.

I am also interested in planning Direct Action events. I have some experience with community organizing and non-violent civil disobedience. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make too many meetings due to work and school, but the aforementioned Saturdays at 12:30pm (not today, but for the future) will probably work. Let me know how I can help via online too.

you could get more participation if someone would announce meetings in advance on this board. the GA minutes say that the group met today. several people including me expressed interest in response to the original message.

Sorry, I haven't had a computer for the last week and haven't been able to check the boards. I'll try and find someone else who will do computer outreach and coordination until I can get a new computer. Kristoph? That would be great. I can also get you the passwd to the DA gmail account if you want to do some of that online stuff. I'll e-mail you.
We're going to be doing regular meetings every Sunday from now on (I think 1:30). I've been trying to announce meetings at all the GAs but know that not everyone can come. Hope to see you all Thursday. We're doing a thing inside the capitol building where people will be stationed around reading out the salaries and campaign contributions of the highest paid people in that building. Not exactly direct action, but *real* DA isn't exactly something that can be planned on the internet. It's kind of fallen on this group to plan ANY kind of action, marches, etc because no one else is doing that.
