If you think the talk about the upcoming storm is baseless, I can attest that the power companies don't believe so. I'm in the Utica area today and in my traveling, I've seen a very large number of line trucks and repair equipment heading in the Albany direction.
Be prepared for wet snow. The night-time safety folks need to keep their eyes open for snow building up on tents, tarps etc. Having been in a tent that collapsed due to heavy snow, I can tell you it sucks.
Also, clear around the base of the tents. Wet snow pressed against the floor will encourage both leaks and condensation inside the tents. A properly set up fly will help protect you from this problem but will not eliminate it.
