I'd like to do a short teach-in on information freedom & security. The 'freedom' part will review recent legal cases around the world related to internet freedom and net neutrality, and the 'security' aspect will be general guidelines to holding your personal information secure and a crash-course in the web app, cryptocat which lets you quickly set up secure chatroom-style communications between trusted individuals. I am thinking that this Sunday, 11/30, (in the afternoon) would be a good day for this, because hopefully we'll have internet available for the tutorial section, and it gives me some time to make a lesson plan. Also hopefully more people will be milling about on the weekend. Cryptocat works on the blackberry, iphone and android mobile devices. I'll update a date and time and make an announcement to the GA when this is all complete. If anyone has good knowledge about any of these topics please message or see me and we can coordinate. (Check crypto.cat or @cryptocatapp on twitter if you are interested right now) Thanks!

Update: I have a list of resources and an agenda now. 4PM Sunday is the time. I'll put it on the calendar.

I like your proposal for a workshop on Information freedom & security, but have two issues with the scheduling
1) AFAIK the Sunday GA is scheduled to start at 3 PM and may be in progress at 4.
2) More generally, proposed teachins should go through Crystal of the working group for scheduling, to minimize collisions.
Also, it would be a good idea to clarify Wifi coverage before announcing. Not everyone has smartphones.
