Thursday, 10/27, members of Occupy Albany and Save Our SUNY will gather in Academy Park around 11:45 a.m. Shortly after noon we will march across the street to Gov. Cuomo's office on the second floor of the Capitol Bldg. to protest his attempts to shut down Occupy Albany and to demand that he extend the Millionaires Tax and re-invest that money into our schools and communities. Please join us!

I work for the State so I'd like to extend the following advise:
Be prepared to go through security. Leave any pocket knives behind (I habitually carry a Leatherman and I know I'm not the only one) and consider leaving any extra metal behind (large belt buckles, etc.).
Depending on which entrance you go in, be prepared to stand in line and wait. While there are a number of turnstiles for State employees, there often is only one for outside visitors.
Expect a search similar to what you go through when going in to a court house.

Also they don't usually allow drums, whistles or noise making devices of any kind

Do we know if Cuomo will be in Albany on Thursday? He is currently in NYC, I have read. (Though we could still protest near/in front of his office even if he is out-of-town, of course.)
