Hi PR!
I was wondering if there is some kind of call out we could do on twitter, facebook and the website to make a request for people to purchase donations from local businesses rather than corporate (ie uncommon grounds instead of Dunkin Dounts).
Thanks.

I think that's a matter for the Humane Resources working group to decide, and the Media & Tech working group of OA to act on.
Sounds compatible with the OA ideals to me, though.
PR just reports what the people decide, and maintains good relations with the public.
If you need it included in a press release, or if there is anything else I can do to help, let me know.

I've been meaning to chime in on this topic just to raise this point: while Dunkin Donuts and some other chains are definitely corporate and headquartered elsewhere, many of those places are franchises and the shops are owned and run by local small businesspeople.
