Here's where we can talk about any arrangements for off-site and on-site childcare (generally or for meetings), how to have back-up if parents get arrested, concerns about CPS involvement, safety & supervision of kids @ the occupation, and whatever all else anyone can think of as barriers for parent participation that we can help solve.

I was wondering if it might make sense to have a pop-up tent in the child space so that if we do have issues with police (or anyone else) this is the obvious space where kids are and should be protected. And also if it rains during the week. Like a little home base. My friend might have one that we could use.

I like the idea. Would we maybe want to keep it aside just for that use? I know the little kids on our block tore apart our neighbor's play tent in less than a week, just rough-housing in/around it.

It took a year but N's pop-up tent was finally torn too. I don't think the kids are in immediate danger of police assault, but it seems like it would be just as easy to get them under the rainbow tie-dye sheet in case of such, or in a tent in the family campgrounds, or better yet, out of the park.
