In the interest of accessibility and transparency, I'm posting the info/links for the next proposed meeting of the Facilitation Working Group here: The Citizens Action building (on Central) and The Furnace (on Grand) are on the table. The Furnace is only NOT available Sunday morning and Tuesday evening. Here is a link to a scheduling tool that we can use to try to set the date / time for the meeting: whenisgood.net/7zp2d2bThis is where the results will appear: whenisgood.net/7zp2d2b/results/dx8drpThis is where we can edit the details of the event: whenisgood.net/7zp2d2b/edit/dx8drpThe code necessary to edit the details of the event is: dx8drp In the interest of streamlining decisions, my two cents is that we do not add extra things to vote on unless necessary. Example, if a venue seemingly worked for most for this next meeting, do not add a second to force a vote. Instead, propose it for the following meeting. Many thanks to Matthew for the excellent footwork setting up the FB event and the scheduling tool!

Noon has just passed.
It looks like Thursday night and Saturday night are the best choices, with Friday night and Saturday evening being the second best choices.
I'd be concerned about meeting on Saturday, in case there ends up being a lot to do between the end of the meeting of the Working Group and the beginning of the meeting of the GA.
I'd suggest that we meet Thursday night at 8PM.
The second choice might be to meet Thursday night at 7PM. I can't be there until 8, but I can make sure that the Furnace is available at 7, if that's where we decide to meet.
The third choice might be to meet Friday night at 7PM.
The fourth choice might be to meet Saturday evening at 5PM.
Can we get something like consensus on Thursday night at 8PM? Any choice we make is going to mean that some people can't make it.
I'm emailing this to everybody in the Facilitation WG who provided their email address right now, too.

My 2 cents: I think that Thursday would be better, in case we need to reconvene before Sunday.
Can we begin to discuss a list of topics we need to discuss at the meeting as well?

Personally,I like Thursday since I'm not 100% sure if I'll be available Saturday, and Friday I can't make it.
Any thoughts on meeting more than once between now and the next GA?

Thursday night works fine for me. Again I agree earlier might be better - Also if it doesn't work for some people we can post the notes of the meeting and see if there is a desire to have a second meeting before the GA.

I agree that Saturday is cutting it close, and sooner than that would be better. Matthew's list looks good to me.

Lets assume that the meeting is going to run 1-2 hours. Is it okay to start at 8PM? I'm not a big fan of being up / out late, myself, but I can't get there 'til 8PM, so that's where I'm at. If other people feel very strongly that they want to start earlier, say 7PM, then that's fine by me and I'll make sure the space is open for you and show up late.

@chad -
Not sure if you were still around at the end of the WG meeting. The woman who took notes was going to cull from them a list of topics that we'd said we were going to discuss, so that we could have that as our preliminary agenda for this coming WG meeting.
Is someone in contact with her (sorry, I didn't catch her name), or in posession of the notes?

It was Cara, and she said she'd post the notes / minutes today. We should also pay attention to the feedback on the forum and turn what we're hearing into discussion topics...

So, Can we say that we will meet then at 7 (to have enough time) on Thursday evening? Are we meeting at the Furnace or at the Citizen Action building?

Will whoever is going to be at the meeting please chime in on this- it's going to be at either 7 or 8 on Thursday. I'd like to be there for the entire meeting, but I can't be there at 7, so I'm in favor of starting at 8. If it's important to people to get home earlier, though, and the majority CAN make it at 7, just say so and the meeting will start at 7. We're doing great- we've got it narrowed down to a 1-hour window!

Looking at the poll results, it seems like the only difference between 7 and 8 Thursday is Matthew's availability. But that's not insignificant. Would it be fair to say, let's make it 8 for Matthew unless people speak up to say they can't stay out til 10pm?

So hey, I haven't seen any objections to the timing of Thurs at 8pm, but I also haven't seen any confirmation of it being decided. Let's do it!! I don't think I'm stepping on any toes to say this - See you all then!

I will be going through Cara's post of the minutes from Sunday and the threads on this forum to pull out a list of suggested topics for our working group to discuss tomorrow. This will not be a set or exclusive agenda, but it's entirely likely we won't get to everything so if you have something additional you think is important for us to discuss please POST IT TO THIS THREAD. Tomorrow afternoon before the meeting I will post the preliminary agenda.

A thing to debate adding in to our considerations in figuring out where the GAs are held -- a nearby cry-room type of space for people who need to bring toddlers and preschoolers.

Rose -
I've started a working group called Kids Stuff. It's on here, I think still located amidst the "suggestions for new working groups" thread, but it's gotten a positive reception.
Robin & I were the ones to volunteer to look into future locations so at some point (soon!) we should get on that. The reason we made the sub-group was to avoid taking up facilitation working group time discussing meeting locations, though - do you still think it's a priority to talk about at tmw's mtg?
