There was a large turn out for the 11.27 GA.
No working group proposals were introduced but there were several WG announcements and report backs. Including:
- Women's caucus to meet Wednesday at 6pm in the Women's Bldg. 373 Central Ave.
- Mark from Education WG announced upcoming showing of Inside Job @ 94 Central Ave. Tuesday at 7pm. Education WG is also planning several more teach-ins.
- Dave from the proposed Transportation WG needs help to get the WG off the ground. He has three bikes ready for community use and would like to look into getting a community motor vehicle for Occupy Albany - ideally one that can run on vegetable oil.
- The Environmental WG announced that the campaign to override Mayor Jennings veto of the City Council's anti-fracking resolution is heating up and will be voted on December 5th. They need volunteers to help get the necessary votes.
- Political Strategy WG announced it will be meeting every Saturday at 1pm and Wednesday at 7pm.
- Facilitation WG announced a training for Saturday at 11am.
- In "Other Business" members of Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Schenectady spoke.
- Vincent proposed condemning a proposed Senate Bill 1867. The GA requested more information and the proposal was tabled for future consideration. More info will be posted online.
- A community building discussion was announced for December 4th at 373 Central Ave. from 5pm to 7pm.
- A plan for canvassing against the Millionaires Tax was anounced for this coming Saturday.
- Francesco raised concerns that open mic speak out wasn't functioning well. Was proposed that it be an open speak out on any topic but that it be facilitated to help it flow better.
- Rana announced a high school student walk out on Wednesday.
- Dave from food requested more help with food. Requested everyone put in at least one shift a week in at camp to help.
- Art & Music WG could use more supplies.
