I have set up the following:
Email - OARadicalCaucus@gmail.com Twitter - OARadicalCaucus
I would like to share the usernames and passwords with others. How should we decide who gets these? Should we have two+ people who rotate responsibility to check once daily but share the password with whoever is routinely involved in the caucus?

Hi Ben,
As you know, I had already set up an email account (occupyalbanylist@gmail.com) that radical caucus members have previously signed up to. It has access to the wider mailing list as well as some great software for newsletters and mass mailings should they be wanted.
I am happy to merge the lists, and happy to do admin of the account. Let me know

Thanks, Hezzie.
That's awesome. I set this up as a specific contact email for events and such where it might not be appropriate or desired to use the broader email address. It's good to know we have these other tools available. I think both will serve unique purposes, don't you?
Cheers, Ben

Ben,
Good thoughts. This mechanism is already in place.
Things get channeled from occupyalbanylist@gmail.com to occupyalbanyrc@gmail.com if a specific Radical Caucus address is needed.
Let's coordinate efforts, so its not redundant. Have you sent anything out of your email addy to the list yet? If not, do you simply want the occupyalbanyrc@gmail.com password?
Or, with the groups permission, I can send you the names that were given to me on Tuesday.

hz, can you talk to me more about the system you're using? I'd like to make sure that all of our communication tools are easily accessed by people who aren't already involved. That's why we've been using the forums thus far. There's virtually no barrier to entry.

Gmail, googlegroups, constant contact.
all standard, easily accessed methods.
p.s. one of the barriers to entry on the forums can be the fact that people with differing opinions can get publicly shouted down. It becomes some sort of 'he said she said dialog.' I find that this doesn't happen as often in these other methods of communication. There are several comments that the boards are not the most effective way for groups to communicate. Most opt not to use them at all. Multi-pronged access points, with up to date minutes/goings on, connected to method of direct communication (ie email) can help engaged everyone.

I agree with most of the criticisms. One of the benefits of the forums is that people can easily see what other working groups are discussing and engage them in conversation. I didn't think that google groups allowed for collaboration across different groups.
But we can continue this conversation via PM. Any group should be allowed to use whatever works for them.

I'd like to give out the passwords to these accounts to more people. Please get in touch.
