So we are good for 8:00pm tonight? Where? I spoke with Victorio and e-mailed Taina from the POC of connecting into the Facilitation WG - they are going to discuss it at their caucus meeting.
I agree that the forum is not very effective for organizing and scheduling things. Maybe we should have a few point people and exchange e-mails and cell-phone numbers so we can get stuff done faster. Regardless I'm super-excited for Friday and think this is going to be amazing!!

I too will be glad when the forums are a less central mode of communication. We're all antsy to get this moving on the ground!
Taina & Bhawin both messaged back. They're apparently using a listserv for communication & will get word out about tonight's mtg. Someone might come over. I'd personally be overwhelmed trying to hammer stuff out in two different meetings in the same evening, not being at all of either meeting, but if there's someone who's up for it that's great. It could be helpful to be working together to plan these trainings.

um, folks, location? Anyone want to check if social justice or citizen action are available for tonight, or should we default to the furnace (assuming it is available)?

I'm waiting to hear when and where the meeting will be (having filled out the scheduling tool), but to make sure I can actually get there, I must request that addresses be given. I just say this because words like "the furnace" and "citizen action" mean nothing to me. I just want to make sure. Thanks.

The Furnace (84 Grand St.) is available, afaik. If people want to meet somewhere closer to the PoC causus meeting, though, I'm all for that. Also, if the meeting's starting at 8 to accomodate somebody from that caucus, we *could* actually start earlier to discuss issues not related to the facilitation process, couldn't we? Like flyers, signs, agenda, etc.? Just throwing that out there...

Humane resources was planning to do intensive cleaning of the Furnace today from 5 to midnight so it would be ready for food prep on Thursday.

Hey guys, I put my hat in the ring for helping facilitate, but I have way too much class work to make it out tonight. I guess I just really wanted to suggest a very early action.
One of the easiest ways of kicking us out, is to claim that we are destroying the park, or that we're doing illegal things in it. This is typically how NYC tried to evict the people in Zuccotti park (as you all probably know). That is why I wanted us, as a group, to make one of our first actions, the cleaning of the park. A friend and I went there yesterday and there are some old liquor bottles underneath trees, along with lots of other kinds of trash. We could easily have the liquor bottles pinned on us, and we could be blamed for the condition the park is already in. By cleaning the park as soon as we get there (and then publicizing the shit out of it) we would be heading off any easy criticisms or easy shots at evicting us.
I would submit this as a formal proposal to the GA, but I think that needs to happen before the GA, and take advantage of daylight to find the trash.

ok... I called sjc just to see if that was an option but they close at 3. I think we had a group member from citizen action (chris? I only met him once) but I haven't seen him post on this thread. If anyone knows him and wants to ask him about tonight that'd be cool, otherwise, furnace @ 8?

took down some notes from this thread for agenda. will bring multiple copies this time. and it's a shorter list, woo!
message me in the next hour and a half if there's something you want us to discuss and you will not be at the meeting.
can someone else print out and bring at least a couple copies of the minutes from the last WG mtg? My printer is slow & I still have to put my son to bed before I leave so I'd appreciate it if someone else can do this part. (If you can, post here, so we don't duplicate effort)
