...I should add that logistics has become the responsibility of a distinct subgroup within the Facilitation / Logistics Working Group.

If we can't also squeeze in intensive training on the specific skills before the next meeting of the GA Related to this but not entirely about it, I saw on whenisgood that there is no match, no time when we can all make it to a meeting. Do we have a plan for what to do in that case? When will we and who will decide an actual meeting time from the data we now have from our input on whenisgood? Do we want to make sure it is held when, maybe, a trainer (not necessarily Rebecca) can make it?

As of right now, Thursday night is the least bad time for the people who have used the scheduling tool. I think we're going to have to take the results as of tomorrow, at some specified point in time (maybe Noon?), and make a decision- tomorrow night, as of right now, ties for 2nd least bad time...

Yes, Rebecca, please do attend the facilitation working group meeting before going ahead and running (or scheduling) any facilitation trainings. This working group has a lot of potential to be very helpful, and we need to work *together* to achieve that.

These message boards suck.
I can't figure out how to delete that last post. I only even wrote it because at first I wasn't able to see half the existing posts on the topic. And I can't figure out how to flag something to email me follow up responses.
At the meeting we need to discuss moving the facilitation/logistics working group online discussion elsewhere. Possibly keeping it to emails (which have been supplementing this discussion, and overlapping it, anyway).

Dylan, who expressed the concern about the logistics & facilitation being combined, asked me about it today and it seems his concerns were addressed by my explanation (which was essentially that we have been viewing ourselves as facilitation and -meeting related- logistics, which are quite interlinked, and that there's a separate working group for Occupation which is handling occupation logistics. Just so everyone knows that that concern that was posted has been addressed.
I thought there was a sort of general understanding that we'd pick a mtg time that the most people could make. Less than half of the people the link was emailed to have even responded (as of an hour or so ago when I last checked the results). It's more important that we *have* the meeting than that every individual is able to attend. I like Matthew's idea of a cut off time for tomorrow at noon (Matthew can you email that out to the same list?) and then pick one of the best possible times and figure that anyone not able to make it in person can stay in contact elsewise.

I agree. We need to have a report to give the GA on Sunday, so a meeting this week is important. Could we blast out the link with the cut off time (noon tomorrow is good), then see what we have for a time?
I can arrange for us to meet at the Citizen Action building at 94 Central Ave after 5pm during the week and whenever on the weekend.
Just let me know. Chad

It has come to my attention that at least a few of the other working groups had far more chaos and less clarity of purpose & direction at their initial meetings than we were lucky enough to achieve. Some are continuing to flounder. One of our items for discussion tomorrow should be coming up with (or delegating some folks to come up with) a basic facilitation guide or meeting structure that working groups could choose to adopt/adapt. Nothing forced upon anyone, but some helpful guidelines for those who seek them.

Also, I guess I'll volunteer to come up with a preliminary agenda for tmw's meeting based off of Cara's minutes from Sunday and the posts in these forums. I will continue to check the upcoming meeting thread, so please add any further requests there.

A thing to debate adding in to our considerations in figuring out where the GAs are held -- a nearby cry-room type of space for people who need to bring toddlers and preschoolers.
ETA -- oops, just saw Emma's note about where to add that. Sorry.
