First, this is exactly the type of stuff we're trying to get to the bottom of through the Community Forums. The next one (Sunday 12/4) is going to be looking more deeply at problems and solutions and will feature a panel of people of color (one of the most marginalized groups in OA). The next two panels to finish out the 4-part series will be made up of "full-timers" and "part-timers." The panels are not the entire focus of the meetings, by far, they're just a tool to help conversation, but the groups picked to be on them represent some of the challenges we've been having for inclusivity.
Second: I don't think another online forum is the answer. Email might've been a better way to keep in touch from the beginning than these horrid boards, but with tensions already running high I strongly feel that in-person communication is key. I hope we might some day have a functional online communication system, even online community forum, but I'm afraid right now is a bad time to try to introduce that.

Hezzie is too kind. I offered to help compile the email addresses, but have gotten bogged down by another deadline that will be past by Nov. 30. I will then be able to devote major time to bringing the email lists up to date.
